One of the rarer and lesser known behaviours of the Diaper Slug is a practice I have called “Doubling”. Diaper Slugs, by nature, appear to be solitary predators, seeking out potential prey alone as opposed to in packs, which, based on my findings, would be a terrifying and unstoppable prospect if these creatures hunted in numbers.
However, very rarely two or more Diaper Slugs will compete or even co-operate on claiming a single prey, one creature disabling the prey with its sweet smelling pheromone while the other latches itself onto the subject. Once the first one has attached itself, however, the second or even third one will then follow suit, attaching itself overtop of the first. In a process I am still unable to properly explain, the multiple Diaper Slugs appear then to “merge” into a single entity, allowing them to feed for much longer and greatly increasing the strength of the muscle relaxant they produce and, by extension, greatly prolonging the lasting effects of the host’s incontinence. Based on my findings, should this “Doubling” occur for long enough, the effects will result in permanent incontinence for the host.
Side note: I have started to notice that these creatures appear to have an attraction towards females, as the reports of attacks between females and males is easily 20:1. Perhaps further tests will yield relevant results…
